| Church of the Living Saviour, is a reformed Baptist church was founded in 1979 with the desire to reach the communities of the Twenty First Ward in Philadelphia with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The founding members of Living Saviour Church believed that whole segments of the community were unreached because existing churches were not communicating the Gospel in contemporary ways to contemporary people. A need showed for a dynamic, non-traditional church structure that would meet the needs of those who were alienated from more formal church structures and it came out of a desire to see lives transformed by the power of God and to serve others in humility.
Since then, Church of the Living Saviour, by God's grace, has been attempting to move toward goals of growing in grace and bringing people in the community to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This has been reflected in the love and commitment of its members to one another and in the various events and activities of the congregation since 1979.
The Church of the Living Saviour takes a very different approach to church ministry by taking the formality out of church services and this in turn makes people want to come to meetings. Upbeat and contemporary music brightens up the meetings making it enjoyable to sing to the Lord. During our Fellowship time people are encouraged to give exhortations and encouragements through Scripture.
